There's a NEW 3 year old on the Block!!!!

Last Tuesday we celebrated Mila's 3rd Birthday. I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast. Mila and I spent the day together and later on met up with Mike. Here are a few pictures from the day

Thank You Uncle Jeffy & Auntie Kim for the Roller Skates! We strapped on them bad boys and cruised the neighborhood this evening. Mila was so excited and did pretty good. I don't think she will be cursing on her own anytime soon but we all had a great time. I couldn't stop laughing (I swear I'm a good mom) and Mike was of course making sure she didn't eat it.

Happy Early Birthday Mila!!

Has it really been a whole year since the last time I posted? Wow!! Anyhow, Friday we celebrated Mila's 3rd Birthday at Chuck e Cheese's. I figured since I'm so pregnant (34 weeks) that it would be a lot easier on me and my feet to have it there. In my mind I thought all I had to do was show up with cake/ice cream, hand out tokens and enjoy the party. But you never are really able to fully enjoy the party when you are the hostess. However, it was nice that I didn't have to hand out cake or clean up. That was the upside to the whole chuck e Cheese experience. This year we kept it real small. I think we might have had 10 or 12 kids. 3 is a really fun year to celebrate! She really understood what was going on. She had a Blast! Her cousins and little friends had a blast and I'm sure all the parents hated me by the end of the evening but that's how it goes. Haha!! Here are a few pictures I captured throughout the night.

Febrile Seizures: Facts & Prevention

This is a article that I found that explains almost to the "T" what happened to Mila on Saturday. It was the scariest moment of my life!!!! I pray to God that this wont happen to her again but if does I NEED to be prepared. I'm waiting to her back from Choc Children's hospital to take a class on CPR....I can't believe none of us knew how to do CPR (we all new bits and pieces of CPR and that seemed to be enough but what happens if I'm a lone next time)...Do you know what to do if your child stops breathing??? It's a pretty scary thought but it's a million times scarier if you're caught in a situation similar to mine. If you have the opportunity to take a CPR class, do it!!!! It could save someones life. Netflix- The Last Song

We just got Netflix last month so I have been watching movies almost every other day. We were only planning on doing the free month trial but I think I will keep it running a little longer....shhh, don't tell Mike. Tonights choice was, The Last Song. Please do me the favor of not watching this movie, when you husband has been away for the last week,your by yourself, and it's 1 in the morning and you can't sleep. I was literally crying my eyeballs out. Overall, I thought it was a cute but sad movie. Sure Miley Cyrus got a little annoying at times but I liked it, so I'm giving it a thumbs up....oh, wait a minute, you know I'm also going to give it Three snaps in Z formation. hahah!! It made me miss Mike and want to pick Mila up and just hold her in my arms. Wow, I'm such a softie/ weirdo. I guess that's what Mommy-hood does to you.

A little late....

Dear January,

You have come and gone and I am so thankful for that! Never in my life have we (Mila, Mike and I) all been so sick. Mila got croup which then turned into Pneumonia, I had some sort of respiratory and ear infection and while Mike was taking care of us, he got sick too (btw, he's still fighting whatever bug he still has). Oh, did I mention that Mike also got into a car accident. We are still waiting to hear back from the insurance company on whether or not the car is totaled. The auto shop that his car is at thinks it's a loss cause. So needless to say January was NOT our favorite month, by all means. Let's just hope that February has some fun and exciting things to offer our family. As the month was wrapping up we were able to have some fun. We had a play date at our house with some of Mila's favorite friends. We visited the OC zoo for the first time and we also got to kidnap Mila's cousin, Madison, from Preschool, to have day a fun at Pretend City. So, I guess January wasn't a total loss.

I wish I had taken more pictures while we were in Hawaii but I guess I was just living in the moment. I'm trying to figure out a way for us to move there because it's truly paradise. I can't wait to we can make it back there again. So until then, Aloha!!

16 Months

When did you become such a big girl?? Mila you are the best thing that has ever happened to me! Mike and I are so lucky to be your parents! You constantly make me laugh. Some days you are a snuggle bug, a lover, a comedian and other days your naughty but I love you all the same. You are such a SMART and BEAUTIFUL girl! Tombstone, AZ

Last week we took a short but sweet trip to visit Mike's Grandpa in Tombstone, AZ. Mila did surprisingly well on the 9 hr trip. We left on Friday night and decided to spend the night in Phoenix and drive the rest of the way the next morning. Hands down, that was the best idea considering we pulled into the hotel at 3am.
