Wedding Ring Blues

I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring since I was about 6 months pregnant and I've been itching to wear it. So today I thought I would give it a try and see if it fit. I figured if I just got it over my knuckle it would fit, boy was I wrong. I tried everything to get it off, ice, cold water, soap, lotion, olive oil, you name it I tried. The more and more I tried getting it off the more my finger started to swell, once my finger turned a dark shade of purple I started to panic.

I packed up Mila and we headed over to the fire station where they cut it off. I had two firemen working on my ring. They said that out of all the rings that they have cut off mine was the hardest, lucky me. It took them forever to get off, but I was so thankful for their help. I was so embarrassed that I had put myself in that situation. While, Ryan, the fireman was cutting of my ring I was telling him how my husband predicted this whole situations months ago...Ryan just looked at me a laughed and gave me a look like "you should have listen to your husband." I wish I would have listened to him but once I got that itch I just had to scratch it. Oh well, lesson learned. I'm just hoping that when I take it into the jewelers they will be able to solder it back together and re-size it at the same time. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

P.S. I was so thankful for Ryan and Tim 's help ( the firemen) that I decided to pick up some Frence's cookies and drop them off at the station. I hope they enjoyed them. :)

9 Months Old

I can't believe how fast time has gone by. My little Mila is 9 months old and in a few more months she will be 1. Where has my itty bitty baby gone?? She has the sweetest spirit and is always so happy. Probably one of the happiest babies I know.
Here are 9 fun facts about my little Mila Monkey.
  1. She loves making new friends, especially with little kids and puppies
  2. A few words that she knows: Mama, Papa, Hi, bye, and up

  4. She loves Yo Gabba Gabba, Handy Manny and Disney Play house (or whatever it's called)
  5. She loves music and has some wicked dance moves
  6. She's very dramatic when she throws tantrums....She throws her head back, arches her back and acts like the world is coming to an end.
  7. Sometimes bath time is her best friend and other times it's her worst enemy.
  8. Favorite foods: Beans, rice, ground beef/taco meat, peach yogurt and gold fish
  9. Loves chewing on anything velcro and any kind of strap

Disneyland again

Mila and I meet some friends at Disneyland on Monday and of course we had a blast. We had many first during this last trip which made things a little more exciting. We made our way over to California Adventure and went on Flik's Flyers, Heimlich's "Chew Chew" Train and the we enjoyed the show over at Disney's Play house. Mila loved the Disney Play house. She got to see one of her favorite shows, Handy Manny, perform and she danced her little heart out. After our quick trip to CA adventure we headed over to Disneyland. I just love Disneyland!!! It just makes me so happy. I love walking down Main Street and seeing all the people crowd the street and then seeing the Castle at the end of the street. Anyhow, another few firsts were Dumbo and the Carousel. I wish that I had taken more pictures that day but it was kinda hard to take pictures while having to buckle Mila in and out of her stroller and keep up with the other moms. I promise that next trip I will make sure to take tons of photos.

Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirates life for me

Saturday night Mike, Mila and I packed ourselves in my car and headed down to Disneyland. We were planning on meeting Jeff, Kimberly and Daileigh there but that didn't end up happening so it was just the three of us. It was our first time we went together as a little family and it was so much fun!!! First things first....dinner. Mikey and I were both starving so we headed over to the Pizza Port and had some Count Down Chicken Fusilli, which was pretty good. After dinner we started making our way towards the Matterhorn when we heard a band playing some catchy tunes. The music was pretty good so we decided to take Mila on the Dance floor and dance around. She couldn't have been happier, she just loves music. After busting a few moves on the dance floor, we made our way over to Pirates of the Caribbean. Mila did great. Mike held her the whole time and only during the second drop did she grab my hand. I thought that she might get a little freaked in the really dark areas, but she was completely fine. She's such a little trooper and we sure can't get enough of her. The evening was perfect, short and sweet. Can't wait to do it again.
